FAQ's

How were you trained as an animal communicator and counselor ?
I received training from Marta Williams. Her approach is consistent  with my training in counseling. She taught us to meet the animals where they are; to be open and empathic. In addition, being a recipient of Animals Communication at least 4 times a year for the past 25+ years has been the greatest teacher. No substitution for experience. I began working with people in 1979, receiving my Masters in Social Work in 1991 and I have spent my life in "helping relationships", trying to understand the intimate experience of another.

How are you different from other Animal Communicators and Counselors?
My difference is my past training includes many years of working directly with people in a helping relationship. I have been deeply impacted by the work of Dr Carl Rogers, and prize the experience of another.

Does an animal need to be in their body to be communicated with?
No. I believe we are all spirits in bodies….so the spirit of your animal remains and can be connected with. I still recall many years ago having 4 cats, and each passed until I had only one. Whenever I did an Animal Communication with him, he would start the conversation by saying “No more cats, no more cats.” His voice always had a panicked tone. When this first happened I just thought, who’s thinking about getting another cat right now?  My communicator told me that when I spoke to him my other kitties would hang-out in the corners of the room at the ceiling!

How long will it take for my animal to stop doing the things I don't want them to do? How long will it take to change?
That is dependent upon the individual. It depends on you the owner, and the animal’s disposition, but I can tell you from experience they do change. In fact I find animals to be more amenable to change than humans. Consistency and repetition is key to ALL behavior modification. Even our own…….; > )

What should I do prepare for my first appointment?
Nothing! Just bring yourself, bring as open of a heart as possible make a list of any questions you may have. Take a big breathe, I have you and we will figure this out!

I know it looks like a steep climb...BUT before you know it, it will feel like a day at the beach.
